The Norwegain National
League is an umbrella organization for Norwegian organizations in the
6-county Chicago Area. Founded in 1899, its main purpose is to encourage
interest in and knowledge of the modern Kingdom of Norway and its rich
cultural heritage. The NNL coordinates the celebration of
Norwegian Constitution Day (17th of May) in the Chicago area including
a concert, banquet and a parade in Park Ridge, a Leif Erikson Day Celebration in
October and, in December, the "Christmas Around the
World" celebration at the Museum of Science and Industry. |
